Collaborative Divorce

In a collaborative divorce, both parties agree that they will resolve their issues outside of the courtroom. Generally, each party hires an attorney. Rather than preparing litigation, the attorneys advise their respective clients of the law, and help them see the advantages and disadvantages of different potential solutions. When (and if) necessary, the attorneys can facilitate communication.

If you choose to work through a collaborative divorce, you and your spouse/partner retain control. You make the decisions, not a court. This process emphasizes open communication and addressing everyone’s interests and priorities.
